An Essay on hobbies (management)
Hobbies — Nobody Has Them Now?
So, hobbies — nobody has them now. In previous times, people had many hobbies to do in their free time, but now this has been taken by a small device that lies in their pockets. The worst part is that now nobody focuses on hobbies or has forgotten what it used to be. Earlier, they enjoyed doing stuff like collecting things or playing music, but now it has stopped. Who influenced that?
Maybe you can say mobile, but actually the surroundings did that. People stopped and forgot how to live with boredom, so to compensate, they use mobile as their way to avoid it. It is now more interesting to use mobile and scroll reels than to learn new hobbies or do them.
Now, to start learning hobbies, the biggest hindrance is not starting but coping with boredom. This will be the starting point of learning hobbies.
Now you have decided, but the major question is what and how. So don't worry, there is a great framework we are going to see in this blog that will help you to start having hobbies in all aspects of your life.
HOBBIES DIVERSITY
Generally, the life which we live is divided into certain aspects and ways. This can be seen as a way of living. Mostly for a normal person it is divided into 4 ways.
1st (Physical)
Here we are going to talk about the hobbies which involve your physical body. This can be any activity you do for your physical fitness and wellbeing. This can be regarded as one of the most important aspects. Now people are getting more aware about their health and physical wellbeing, so they started going to the gym. This can be taken as a physical hobby. There can be more, like swimming, running, and playing sports.
Start with just one which you find interesting to do. I would say start with swimming (best cardio).
2nd (Creative)
This is the most widely used hobby that most people think about having, and yes, a very limited portion of the population is good at it. Many people start it but at last they stop. We can say this is the hobby that is most attractive to anyone who does it. Here, mostly all the creative stuff like painting, writing, making stuff like electronics and robots — you get it — all the creative and crazy hobbies lie in this category.
If you ask me where to start, I will recommend you start with writing skills. That will improve your critical thinking and you will have a great time.
3rd (Learning)
This is my favourite thing to do — to learn new things and get information to build yourself well. There can be many ways for that, but mainly what I prefer is reading books. That is the ultimate option. This can be the single most effective hobby that comes under this part. Other options are also good, like reading blogs, watching videos, and learning from any source.
4th (Social)
A single social hobby can remove most of the loneliness that our generation is living with. We are living more alone than any previous generation. We don't even want to interact with people — we are so glued to screens that we forget what social gatherings are. Being more social can eliminate most of our problems of loneliness. The hobbies include going to gatherings and events to meet new people, and doing things in a community rather than alone.
Yes, I know there are more hobbies beyond these categories, but remember these are the most common as well as the most actionable activities a person can do — not for the sake of doing, but to improve as a person.
Let me know what hobbies you are going to select first.
